Pearson Vue Yields to Petition Against NMC CBT Exam Payment

A petition raised to stop extortion of Nurses hoping to migrate to UK from Ghana, Nigeria and other countries has recorded a major success. This is after Pearson Vue has started accepting debit and credit card payments directly from test candidates from Nigeria, Ghana and others for NMC CBT exams.

Up until now, the desired payment method of the application fee for the Computer Multiple Choice Questions which serve as a vital prerequisite to working in the United Kingdom has been through test centres. The test centres have been accused of charging extra fees for this same payment owing to the fact that prospects cannot pay on their own.

The petition which was raised on change.org by Nursesarena.com founder went viral with over 3,000 signatures within two months of it existence. The petitioner queried why PearsonVue would accept debit card payment for NCLEX registration but would decline same card for CBT registration which gives room for extortion of Nurses by CBT test centres saddled with the responsibility of making payment on behalf of applicants.

In what appears like an answer to the relieve being sought by the petitioner, Pearson Vue introduced voucher option which can be purchased with debit cards from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon among others.
