UK Govt Abolishes UKVI IELTS For Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, Others Accepts OET, Standard IELTS

The Home Office which is the UK Immigration department has abolished the need for foreign educated Nurses, doctors, dentists, nurses and midwives to sit for UKVI IELTS after passing the Standard English Exams of IELTS and OET

In a Bulletin released earlier today, the Home Office exempted these categories of health workers who had passed acceptable relevant English language test will no longer be required to produce UKVI IELTS result when applying for Tier 2 Visa.

The implication of this is that Standard IELTS and OET results are now accepted and applicants are no longer required to sit for UKVI IELTS again.
