Is Leukemia Curable? Cure for Leukemia Found 2017

A Group of American scientists have found a new possibility to cure leukemia, the results of a new study showed on Tuesday.

Leukemia is a deadly disease that knocks down patients as young as only seven years old.

In the study published in Journal Nature Medicine, the group of scientists from Stanford University and National Institute of Health found that a molecule, called “CD22”, could serve as a potent target for the killer cells of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a common childhood cancer.

It came after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved last August a cell-based gene therapy, namely the “CAR T-cell” treatment.

The CAR T-cell is a therapy requires drawing blood from patients and separating out the T cells.

It works by genetically modifying a patient’s own immune cells to seek out and attack leukemia cells that have a molecule called “CD19” on their surface.

Such a therapy relies on the patient’s own T cells a type of immune cell that could become a powerful killing machine.

Stanford oncologist Crystal Mackall and NIH’s pediatric hematologist Terry Fry discovered that a molecule called “CD22” can be a similar target.

Scientists treated 21 patients with treatment-resistant B-cell leukemia who are aged seven to 30 to test the new “CD22-directed method.

17 of them were previously treated with CD19-directed therapy and 15 of them had either relapsed or failed to respond.

They found that at the lowest dose level, one in six patients achieved complete remission after treatment, and with an escalated dose, 11 of 15 patients entered remission.

The new approach is helpful because the cancer cells of some patients who undergo CD19-directed therapy stop expressing the CD19 molecule on the cell surface.

The relapse rate of CD22-directed therapy also proves high.

The researchers hope that targeting “CD19 and CD22” simultaneously may produce an approach where cancer cells are unable to evade, thus leading to a new therapy for curing leukemia in the future.

Social Media Users React to Taiyesha F Baker Tweeter Racist Rant

Taiyesha F Baker

Social Media users have continued to react to antiwhite racist rant by Taiyesha F Baker.

Miss Taiyesha had earlier posted the following on her twitter page before deleting her account after heavy criticism from people:

“Every white woman raises a detriment to society when they raise a son. Someone with the HIGHEST propensity to be a terrorist, rapist, racist, killer, and domestic violence all star. Historically every son you had should be sacrificed to the wolves bitch”

Below are what social media users have to say on the incident:

Funny, not funny how she is all over the place. She is likely the most racist person I’ve ever come across and yet she hates racism. She even ranted about The Bachelorette who was black and chose a white fiance

Another user says:

She won’t lose her license over this. There are nurses out there stealing drugs from their patients and all they have to do is isnap.

I wonder if she realizes blacks make up 12.5% of the total population but also make up 60% of all violent crime (FBI stats). That is an overwhelming statistic. Before you start blaming the white man you might want to take a look at what is going on in you own neighborhood.

And it looks like she just graduated and got the job. She obviously didn’t realize how good of a job she has/had! Good luck getting a good job now that you made it to the news and your ignorant posts went viral!! That ish can never be erased dummy!!

Another user has this to say:

Why do people feel vindicated by an ignorant woman saying ignorant things. Like look a black person made an ignorant statement so that somehow justifies the discrimination of that group of people. Or her ignorant opinion represents the opinion of the entire black community? As a black woman it was an ignorant thing for her to say. She should be fired for it. But her ignorance doesn’t justify yours. Don’t be ignorant!

I really just want to know why she feels like this. My two white sons, who lay their lives on the line for the United States Air Force and YOU would be uphauled as i am and many people who have seen this. However, they would BOTH lay their young lives on the line to defend YOU at all cost. Just don’t understand what is happening to this world nowadays…WOW

If I had a white male son and she was the nurse I would ask them to not let her on the floor where my son was for fear of his safety. This person should not be around white children or black children or any child for that matter. Definitely should not be in nursing. How would she treat any white person in need. License should be revoked pending evaluation by a psychiatrist!
