Invitation to join the HIFA Access to Health Research working group

Dear HIFA colleagues,

I would like to invite expressions of interest to join the HIFA Access to Health Research working group.

We are delighted to be supported by Elsevier and The Lancet through 2019 and 2020. Our first aim is to hold a major HIFA thematic discussion, starting late July 2019, around one of the following four themes that have been identified as priorities by HIFA members:

A. Perceptions and misconceptions around Open Access
B. What more can be done to address predatory journals?
C. The role of access initiatives (eg Hinari, EIFL)
D. The ethics of access to health research.

If you have a preference for any of the above, or would like to suggest a new topic, do let us know: admin@hifa.org

The working group will meet by skype (max 1 hour) in the second week of July to plan the discussion. We welcome HIFA members with an interest in access to health research to join us!

If you are interested to join the group, or would like to find out more, please send an expression of interest, together with a brief CV or profile, to: admin@hifa.org

Learn more about the group and current members here: http://www.hifa.org/working-groups/access-health-research

Best wishes, Neil
